Hardware Warranty Services

Standard warranties on most computer products usually provide one year of support, either by onsite second business day or best effort, express exchange, depot repair on parts only or labor only.

NET-Systems, Inc. provides the following three basic types of warranties on products sold.

Warranty Upgrades:

Warranty upgrades lift the original manufacturer’s warranty response time to a higher level (e.g. from next business day on-site to 24/7 on-site), ensuring a faster response than the standard warranty. For example, customers could choose to upgrade from next-business-day response to same-day response. To extend service availability hours from daytime hours to round-the-clock, customers may opt for warranty upgrades.

Warranty Extensions:

Warranty extensions lengthen the original warranty (e.g. from one year to three on-site) by simply extending coverage beyond the term specified by the original manufacturer warranty. Warranty extensions need to be purchased at the time of produce purchase or within 90 days thereof.


Post-warranties support the equipment after the original manufacturer’s warranty has expired; usually contracted for one year. Products that are no longer covered by manufacturer warranties can still be covered by post-warranty maintenance service contracts. Single-manufacturer and multi-manufacturer contracts are available. Maintenance contracts are sold as SKUd services.

In order to assure maximum speed and accuracy in processing your order please include the following information when placing orders or requesting a quotation:

Payment Terms:

Payment in U.S. dollars by: COD cashier’s check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, AMX, and wire transfer. Net Credit terms are available.
For Credit Cards orders, please provide the following information

  • Full Name of the Card Holder
  • Credit Card Number
  • Billing Address
  • Expiration Date
  • Authorized Signature

Shipping Procedures:

NET-Systems, Inc. will ship in accordance with client’s shipping instructions.

It is important that precise shipping instructions are included with each order. We use a variety of shippers such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, Airborne, etc.

RMA & Warranty Services:

NET-Systems, Inc. offers the warranty provided by each manufacturer.

RMAs and defective products under warranty must be returned to NET-Systems, Inc., using a courier delivery service, with copies of invoice and packing list.

Include the following declaration on the courier Airway Bill: “Product being returned for repair or replacement.”

Product warranty does not cover freight charges from or to the customer site.

All expenses and related cost between the customer and NET-Systems, Inc. in direction directions are the responsibility of the customer.

Returns Policy and Procedure:

-Please contact us at (949)-752-5100 or sales@net-systems.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before shipping your product back to NET-Systems, Inc., Returns will not be accepted without a valid RMA number.

-NET-Systems, Inc. return policy is based on the manufacturers return policies. For further specific information, please contact your NET-Systems, Inc. account manager.

Please provide the following information when calling for an RMA number:

  • customer name
  • invoice number
  • product model / part number and serial number
  • the reason for the return

-All products returned MUST: be 100 percent complete and contain ALL original manufacturer boxes with the original UPC code and packing materials, all manuals, blank warranty cards, accessories, and any other documentation included with the original shipment

-Shipping charges on returns items are the customer’s responsibility; NET-Systems, Inc. will match the shipping method and pay for shipping on replacement or exchange item(s).
For your protection, we strongly recommend you fully insure your return shipment in case of loss or damage. Please use a carrier that is able to provide you with proof of delivery.

-If you receive damaged merchandise, it is best to REFUSE it back to the carrier attempting delivery. If you accept the package, then make sure it is noted on the carrier’s delivery record in order for NET-Systems, Inc. to file a damage claim. Save the merchandise and the original vox and packing it arrived in; notify NET-Systems, Inc. to arrange for a carrier inspection and a pick up of damaged merchandise. If you do not notify NET-Systems, Inc. of damaged goods within the first 5 days of arrival, our regular return policy will override any claim of damage, and will fall under all current manufacturer restrictions. Contact your NET-Systems, Inc. account manager to arrange for carrier inspection and a pick up of damaged merchandise.

-DEFECTIVE returns can be returned directly to NET-Systems, Inc. within 10 days from the invoice date, at NET-Systems, Inc.’s discretion for: credit, replacement, exchange, or repair.

-Manufacturer restrictions do apply and are outlined in our details policy. Any item that is missing the UPC code will ONLY be replaced with the same item. After 20 days, all manufacturers’ warranties apply.

-NON-DEFECTIVE returns can be accepted directly by NET-Systems, Inc. within 10 days from the invoice date, at NET-Systems, Inc.’s discretion for: credit, exchange. All NON-DEFECTIVE returns are subject to a 15 percent restocking fee.

-Due to manufacturers’ policies, products from the following brands are accepted for repair only: Apple, Compaq, IBM, and Hewlett-Packard. NET-Systems, Inc. may not accept returns for exchange, replacement, or credit. If you receive a unit that is inoperable FOR ANY REASON, you may contact us for information on warranty service through NET-Systems, Inc., the manufacturer’s direct or any authorized service center in your area.

-Additional manufacturers may be added to this list as: manufacturer policies change, manufacturers go out of business, or in the case of specially ordered items.

Software and DVD Movie Return Policy:

Only defective software and DVD movies can be returned to NET-Systems, Inc. The return must take place within 10 days of invoice date and may only be replaced for the SAME software or DVD movie title. Unopened software may be returned for refund or exchange within 10 days of invoice date. Multiple software licenses cannot be returned for refund or exchange unless first authorized by the manufacturer. Multiple licenses may not be returned beyond 10 days for any reason.

NET-Systems, Inc. reserves the right to authorize product returns beyond 10 days from the invoice date. If the product is accepted after 10 days, then credit will be issued toward future purchases only. Original shipping charges are not refunded on returned items.
